Happy Monday everyone. This week I’ll be sharing about the memorial service I went to over the weekend. And how it has officially solidified Solomon’s deep proverb “it is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting, for this is the end of all mankind, and the living will lay it to heart.” He was admonishing us to ‘lay it to our hearts’ and ponder our lives. Nothing like a funeral to help one check-in and see how their own heart is growing – or not.
Our hearts need those check-ins, those weekly reflective washes as the world will do its own job of muddling and lulling it into content confusion. In grief things are clearer — it’s human nature.
On another note: I’ve been adding to my Women, Wit & Wisdom book and started a new section on “Aging”. Yay, I hear you say in your mind. No, it’s not about AARP, it’s witty. Calm down.
Aging
One thing I’ve learned is I’ve wasted much time and money during my youth on things that didn’t matter, and people that really didn’t care.
You know you’re getting old when you become your cat — everything is too loud and almost everyone annoys you.
