I got a message that today is the 6 year anniversary…of my Blog! No champagne just reflection. I started this in my home office in Sugar Land, TX just for fun. Plus the discipline of writing more and posting various topics, I thought would be good for me. It has been.
Have I posted as much as I thought I would? No. Life often got in the way. Yet I am proud of the variety of content, different topics, universal thoughts geared toward varied readers, and for my feedback. From what I have read, most have enjoyed my reflective drivel.
I’m currently working on a longer piece titled “Hellos and Goodbyes”. I heard a sermon the other day and it reflected that we learn a lot about someone from their ‘hellos and goodbyes’. I found it insightful and helpful. I will share more later.
Today I am reflecting about so much. So much happening in the world – – its travails seem to minimize my ‘problems’. But I like to think my thoughts and actions can make a difference every now and then.
For some reason I woke up thinking about manners – again. And then with school starting it triggered more. My mind works in hooks, yours probably does too.
Here goes: “People always say that education is most important, and while I agree it’s undeniably advantageous, I think manners are more. The world is full of many educated rude, self-absorbed jerks. I’ve seen manners take people places further than education ever could.”
That’s all I wanted to say today.
