Veterans Day

My grandfather Capt. J. G. Smith, USN, WWII pilot and CO of the USS Intrepid, and my father Capt. Cordell C. Smith, USN, RIP 2001 and 2019, respectively.

Thank you to all those who have served this country and continue to do so — and often serving those who are thankless for our freedoms. Yet, they do it anyway.

Always remember there are generations in the United States prior that are the reason you can participate in democracy, protest, ‘hate your government without being beheaded’, and speak your mind. Enough said.

They served and honored you.

Honor them.

Wonderful post for Grandad and your father, my brother. Gosh I miss them both so much. They were true patriots that served their country and honored our nation. They were real men with solid character and honesty!
